Our first summer workshop!  We learned the essentials of woodworking - measuring, marking out, sawing, chiseling, and how to make a slot joint. We applied basic geometry and simple math.  We measured out using blocks of wood instead of a tape measure. We all built a book case (with no fasteners!) for our favorites summertime reading.
